My partner and I spent a week at Resort Rio over January and had a fabulous time - luxurious rooms, amazing cuisine (particularly the pizzas in Mamma Mia), and second to none service. The staff went of their way to be helpful and we were made to feel very special indeed. Every day we experienced lavish breakfasts lunches and dinners, and I would particularly recommend the vegetarian breakfast which was tailored for each of our requests. Both guests (and staff!) seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves during our stay. We were lucky enough to have our break coincide with an Indian wedding being held at Resort Rio. The resort was decorated outstandingly and being able to be a part of the wedding festivities was the icing on the cake of our stay. The wedding ceremony on the banks of the river was beautiful and picturesque - an out of this world backdrop of palm trees and sunshine. There was a terrific atmosphere during the festivities and although we were not part of the wedding party, the happiness and excitement definitely rubbed off on us! Keep it up Resort Rio - I have been bowled over by the high level of service and personal touches, nothing was ever too much trouble for your staff. Experiencing the wedding festivities was amazing, and having seen many 5* wedding venues both in London and abroad, I would, without a shadow of doubt, recommend Resort Rio as the best of the lot!

Super cool resort. Beautiful decor and rooms were amazing. Luxurious bathrooms with rainshower. 5 restaurants including a superb Italian "Mamma Mia" with real wood fired oven pizzas. The spa - Zaara- was amazing with incredible decor- handcarvings on the wall made out of real stone. Really nice atmosphere. Two swimming pools including an adults only pool. The pool bar has very nice atmosphere and entertainment in the evenings. However, most of all, we had good service with a smile. Really genuine people who go out of their way to please you. Its a new hotel and so of course ther are some teething issues but the staff really do care and go out of their way to make you happy. My wife and children loved the place. Its one of the best vacations we have had and are thinking of going back again over Christmas. And you have got to try the delicious cakes and pastries in their Coffee lounge !

Probably the best 5*deluxe hotel in Goa. Their inauguration on 14th August was absolutely amazing. All restaurants had been opened up and you could dine anywhere. There was entertainment in all the restaurants. The food was superb. Their rooms are amazing and we heard speeches from the ministers and directors in a very nice banquet hall. Suggest you visit them on Facebook

Went to a Lions function on Sunday 4th July which was hosted by Resort Rio. I must say the resort is an outstanding hotel. We had superb food and the desserts were delicious. The function was in the conference room- the largest I have seen. And it is truly state of the art. To Resort Rio - keep up the very good standards ! I was truly impressed.

I went to see Resort Rio yesterday. Apparently, it is opening in two weeks time. I saw one of their rooms- it is superb or shall I say unusual ! Superb marble bathroom. The bedroom size is enormous - can probably accomodate the whole family ! There is a real wood fired pizza oven on the terrace with cracking views. I think Resort Rio will probably end up being one of the best hotels in Goa. I also saw their banqueting/ conference halls. it is huge. They are also planning a vegetarian restaurant. I have already booked to stay here in April. they are offering amazing all inclusive packages.

Its in a place called Arpora - not far from Baga. You can actually see baga beach which in a straight line is just 700mts or so. Architecture of this hotel is beautiful. When I went to see it yesterday, they were laying the marble with an unusal design in the lobby. Swimming pool is huge. It looks as if Resort Rio is going to give other 5* hotels a lot to worry about !
